window stuck open V70-XC70 2002

After a long drive my V70's driver's window would not close. I played with the switch over the course of 30 minutes, giving it every up/down/in/out maneuver legal in NY state. I turned on the engine. I banged the door wall (i just got my 240's driver's window to unstick by hitting the window motor and then the frame with a heavy hammer). Nothing worked. Then i disconnected the battery for a minute, hoping to erase any computer misinformation about the window. I then tried the window, and it worked!
Is it possible that the operation of the window is computer overseen, and i did erase bad data??? Or was it dumb luck??
