For a FWD car you need to buy four, and also get 4 steel rims so you don't have to change them around every year.

I have a set of Dutch Vredestein Snowstars with studs, but since they don't seem to import them anymore, I'd recommend the Nokian Haaka-1 WITH STUDS if your state allows them.
