Your 'new' pile of junk may have hit an obstruction, check it. If it used to have those vent shades, that will play havoc with the regulator.
Try closing it a few time without hitting the auto up and see if that gets it to work. A dealer can "fix" it by reprogramming it.

My new German pile of junk looses the ability to auto up. The fix is to close the window and then pull up on the auto up button for a few seconds to reset it.
