My Indie replaced my leaking evaporator on my 98 V70 T5 in August 08.

In addition to the evaporator, he also replaced the accumulator and A/C pressure switch. Add in refrigerant and shop supplies and the total came to $1695.64 (Labor = $960; Parts = $698.70; tax and HAZMAT = $36.94)

Hope your estimate was somwhere in that ballpark.

If you ever want to check your HVAC vent actuators, there is no better time than this, especially if you are getting the blinking amber lights on your ECC or are hearing those annoying and repetitive "clonks" behind the fascia.
