S80s have no FPR S80

I checked with my dealer, and the S80s don't have a fuel pump relay. The fuel pump and sender are packaged into one unit. So, if you turn the key to position II and do not heare the pump prime the system, you probably need a new pump.
I don't know where the access is to the pump on your model. Unless you have AWD, you should not have to drop the tank. Check under the carpeting behind the rear seat for access panels.
Replace the filter at the same time.
