I recently replaced mine. The part is a bulb/socket combo, and I paid about $10 (!) at the dealer.

The repair may or may not follow the instructions in Haynes. Mine did not. But using a small mirror and lots of patience, I was able to figure out how to remove the shift panel and the V-shaped housing that hosts the bulb.
