NO ABS LIGHT ! 850

I pulled the inst. cluster and sure enough the ABS bulb was removed as was the SRS bulb. Went to the auto parts store and they could not read ABS codes, as it turns out there is only one place in town ( BATTLE CREEK MI. ) that can and they want $60.00 JUST to read them... Any suggestions?
Also.... I sure hope this car has trac control as the tires loose traction way to easy as this car has an oversize turbo. THANKS
