Synthetic ATF in 850 T-5 auto trans - different shift behaviour? 850 1994

Two things come to mind.

1) did you do the flush with one of those power flushing machines? They are known to cause problems.

2) you don't have enough fluid in the transmission. Drive the car until everything is GOOD and WARM and then park on a level surface, shift through each gear shift pos resting 5 secs at each step, and then put it in park and get out and check it. Make sure the level is up to the top of the hot side.

Just to make sure everything is okay.
