Hi Tim

Volvo was glue like environmentally a little too friendly and my magnets fell off the speakers (and I glued them back on)- a common fault.

Maybe your car has the same fault?

Try also to mount 2 100 uF condensators back to back ( the minus sides of the condensator soldered together and the + connected to wire's + and the other end connected to the speaker + ) in line for the + terminal for the speaker - and the rear door speakers will take the bass much better without "coughing"
