I concur 100% with the discription and remedy of problem #1(been there done that at 15K mi., and BTW I had the shutter at about 60MPH going into and out of lock up), but as for the rest of it.....well I have about 21K mi. on my MY2000 S70GLT, and (knock on wood) no real problems....and it never left me on the side of the road. I do like the AW4 much better than the newer AW5 found on the base model and AWD’s. Just for your info the AW5’s do have lock up problems also....as well as some other weird shifting at times.....I hear tell there is a VADIS down load that should cure it....but Istill think a flush with synthetic isa big part of the cure...BTW Volvo will pay for a flush if under warranty on both the AW5 and AW4....I am not so sure if they will fit the bill for the synthetic ATF though....butthey DO recomend it.

And yes I did use Mobil-1 syn ATF for my 15K flush, and will do the same every 10K.
