tina-I am not naive enough to think that an older car is not going to have problems and that things won't break. Did you really get that from my post?

My question was to the point of how much money is too much to put into an older car? That simple...or not.

And no, I won't be getting a Fiesta--it's pretty obvious that a smaller car is going to do more poorly in accidents--if I do have to replace this vehicle, it won't be for a little death trap. Thank you for the link though--I saw when all those cars were tested, the Fit and Yaris did badly. They weren't on my radar as a replacement however.
