Tire pressure is the only variable to worry about when going from the balmy 30Fs to the cooler 10Fs. It snows a lot in AnnArbor, so be prepared to drive a little slower. The big rig trucks will blow you off the road.
Use brand name gasoline, you don't want water in the bottom of your tank when it gets -F. And try not to drive in the dark too much, you cannot see any icey patches. The Interstates are kept pretty clear of snow, even in western PA where there are no towns and a lot of hills.
Carry a shop cloth and a towel. A damp cloth for cleaning the front lights and turn/stop lights at rest areas. Do not use 'hot' water, warm is good enough. An ice scraper is a required item.
If you use the high tire presures when leaving NYC, they should be just about normal once you pass the Delaware River Gap and go up the first hill when the temp drops a lot. Penn is a good 5-6 hours wide, been there many times. And it snows a lot, so just drive carefully.
