Testing EVAP purge valve V70-XC70 1998

Hello, I need help nailing down the location of my 2002's EVAP purge valve. This valve is one probable cause of my 0442 code. Is it the small black plastic block(1"x 1"x .5") which is mounted dead center on the radiator's upper support or is it the thing with the two vacuum hoses and electric plug on the fan's cage, 3" from the top transmission cooling line? If it's either one of these, what is the other? Both have vacuum lines going to the left (driver's) side of the intake manifold. The ports for those 2 vacuum lines are vertically arranged 1.5" apart. The vacuum line coming from the black block is covered with a woven chafe relief. I confess, I haven't peeled back the fender liner of my right rear wheel to check my "J" hose yet. Thanks, Kira
