Kyle,

we had the same situation on my wife's 855. Talked to the Volvo dealer, he told me that the switch is part of the rear lock mechanism in the tailgate and failures are not uncommon. He said it isn't available seperateley, you have to buy the complete lock assembly.

I decided to leave it like it is, and use the manual switch for now.
