Polyisobutylene

I have tried polyisobutylene as a diesel fuel additive. It had no measureable affect on fuel consumption or emmisions. Polyisobutylene has a high molecular wieght and is areomatic. It is suppose to increase the viscosity of the fuel and change the dropplet formation characteristics. I tested this fuel relative to plain diesel on a fully instrumented engine test cell. The error of the test system is +/- 1%.
