And another yes to fix that bulb with a little drop of glue. I fighted in my ol' 854GLT against my sometimes working sometimes not working gear indication light for several weeks. As this part is VERY close to the transmission it gets a lot of vibration. Porbably the source of failure too.

But - on the other hjand you do not really need it. I mean, if you're in P or N, the brick doesn't react to gas, and R and D position makes itself fast enough sensible. Now remain the 3 and 2 position, and if you get into them, you get the orange upright flash indication light. So the indication light of the trans is not vital. When it failed again after several months, I did not replace it any more.
