dashboard removal 850 1995

Thanks for the reply.

I am actually trying to take the dash out to change the colour from faded black to purple, to match the exterior of the car. I have the apillers and all the other trim parts out as well as the top part of the dash. They are prepped for the colour change but I don't want to start until I am sure that I can get the rest of the dash out. I don't want the dash to be two different colours.

All I can seem to find is how to get the dash cover out which I have already done. Is the wood grain part of the dash and the black part one piece or do they come apart from each other?

Thank you for your input
Nick

PS. If you are wondering why I did the car purple, this is the story. I always told my wife that my dream car was a 850 t5r. She said if I found one for sale, I could buy it, thinking it would never happen due to car being somewhat rare. Well one day I found a badly faded cream yellow one for sale a couple hours from my place and bought it. When I brought it home my wife was mad that I bought it and even more mad that it was "ugly yellow" as she referred to it.
She sarcasticlly said that she would rather drive a car that was bright purple than the crappy yellow volvo that I brought home without getting her "consent". She wanted a Honda Civic.

After being offended by her insulting one of the gretest cars ever made- our wonderful Volvo, I went out and painted the car bright purple like Barney the singing dinosaur.
Needless to say, the wife was angry about it for almost a year. But after she drove it a few times and experienced the power the t5r has, she fell in love with the car too. The car does look rediculous but I would rather push it down the street than drive a Honda.
Thanks again.
