identify this 850 1996

Hi Klaus, it is more like a solid rod. I was moving the caliper around when i heard a snap and it flew past my face, landing on the floor. this was the drivers side and i could see nothing similar at all on the other side. At first i thought it had something to do with the ABS . The weird thing is, i had been playing around for a while and had not noticed it prior to the snapping sound. Obviously, it may be longer than my 2&1/2" measurement. Regards David
