Chase, Just two or three things....I am almost retired, so I spend lots and lots on keeping my cars looking better than new. I found that there is no wax in the world that will last 12 months, and you will be lucky to get 6 months out of a wax, although polimers last longer than carnuba none of them will last longer than three months max on a daily driver....a good sealent like Klasse will help. Another thing I am not a fan of liquid waxes...I never used the Groits products though..YET. I think the carnuba waxes cant be touched by polimers, and the best wax I have ever used is Pinnacle Souveran. I like it better than Zymol "Volvo" wax, Zymol Carbon or even the Zymol Destiny. I also like Blitz One Grand....for the price(<$20 a can)it cant be beat.
As far as the glass I use 3M foamming glass cleaner on the outside, and "Sprayaway" or Inman Fabrike" on the inside.
I am also a big fan of the new micro-fibre towles for detailing and glass cleaning.
A few more things.......after a wash I like to use a "quick detail spray" I find this will keep the car looking just waxed, and the wax will last longer....I like the One Grand "Show-Off" best for this.
I use my car every day in New York City, and I need to wash and wax according to the weather, but it gets a wash every two weeks, and waxed with Souveran about every 4-6 weeks.
As far as "clay" I use this only as a last resort and I would NEVER use any clay product on a brand new car.....thats just my .02˘
Anyhow.....if you like I can send you the web address for a VERY GOOD car detailing site that has a quality forum where you can get some outstanding tips on this labor of love.
good luck with your car!
