John,

Yes, A7 is used for resetting the service lamp using test mode #4. But A7 is also used for turning off the "check engine" lamp using test mode #1, holding the button down for a minimum 5 seconds, waiting for the LED to stay on, then pressing the button down again. This procedure clears all the codes (providing they have been read at least twice), with the codes now clear the check engine lamp is reset. John, your the expert, but this is also mentioned in a Volvo manual...I'm at work and don't have it in front of me right now...maybe later.
