I replaced the rear sensor on my 96 850 a couple of months ago. It was stuck pretty good, but some pentrating oil helped to loosen it. You will need a 22mm box end wrench- I tried with an open end wrench and it wouldn't budge it. Using a box end wrench requires that you cut the wiring to get the wrench around it. The Volvo O2 sensors come with anti-seize paste already applied. Make sure you use some if the replacement you get does not already have it on.

The wiring on the Volvo part has changed slightly, at least for the rear sensor. Not sure about the front. The Bay 13 instructions cover the new wiring procedure and the link is in another message in this thread.

It's a pretty easy job really, but the sensors still cost a bunch.
