For starters don't buy a car on weekends or after hours. Show up at the dealer on early on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning when they are bored to tears. On Mondays they still have the weekend carryover. In order to get a FAIR price you must act like you do not like the car you want (color,engine hp,leather seats you wanted cloth, no sunroof you wanted sunroof,no spoiler you want one (he may throw it in) , trunk space and must have the salesman convince you to buy it.
