Thanks Klaus, I'll do the wires etc. tomorrow. As for the filter, I think it's about 18 mos old, but I cant be sure. I thought about changing that as well, but I had hopes the mechanic did that when he changed the pump.( he didnt) I do not know what brand of pump the mech. used, he didnt say, and at that point, I was just glad to hear it run again, therefore I didnt ask, ( neglect on my part, I know) She does smell a bit "rich", but she has for quite a while now, although it seems to be getting more pronounced of late. On Idle, it purrs like a kitten and on road she's just as good as new, it's just at stop signs and red lights when the sputs and spits hit. I'm more than a bit concerned that one upcoming red light or stop sign will be the one when she quits, and we all know where that can lead.
