Are you surprised? There are not that many C70s, but they all have door problems because the doors are unique.

The 850/70 models have a small plate held on with 2 torx screws in the side of the open door. Removal, near the top and above the latch, gives access to the top of the lock and allows for lock and handle removal.

Try spraying the mechanism with silicone lubricant and see if things get better.
