I live on the water so I see lots of salt water despite the garage and constant washing. The original boot lasted about a year, 7000 miles. I had one replaced for 100 or 105 by Midikei(sp) once. This time I did it myself. The boot cost 16 dollars and the grease about 10. I would take it to a shop if you have not worked with CVs before.
