The teeth on the trans gear have worn to a sharp point. I did intall the new sleeve. Got to pull the bevel gear a 2nd time because I left the o-ring seal off the bevel geat shaft & had an immediate ATF leak. Oh what fun. That was on the replacement bevel gear because the teeth were almost completely stripped on the one that was on the car. If any noise comes back up I have ground down the inside of the bad sleve completely smooth so the will be no drive from it. Only sitting there to make the seal.
