Had to pass on the S70 S70 1998

A DIY headgasket will cost you close to $1,000, by the time you figure that you need new valve seats, guides, and seals and a machine shop to do that for you. The dealer is going to cost $500-1000 more because they don't want to do labor intensive jobs, they get more money out of R&R simple tasks.

Keep looking. There is more fun in trying to find a bargain than spending money on something that obviously needs major work, like my 220.
