Replacing the power steerig pump- separating the reservoir from the pump 850

Thanks again Timmanian.Actually the replacement is in order exactly because I noticed oil over the alternator, and found the leak coming from the pump perhaps due to a faulty seal.I actually put the car away until I can repair it, but I emptied the reservoir using a large syringe and cleaned the oil that already was on the alternator, and put absorbant material under the pump to catch any remaining drips. Actually it is a very slow leak, but a leak anyway. I know I will have to be extra careful when removing the in and out pipes from the pump to avoid a mess. I already devised a method to keep them elevated so they don“t drain onto the alternator or other parts. The alternator will be wrapped with a diapper, "sunny side" up!
