I agree with Bryan about having a good Tech check out the car thoroughly. It's also very important (MORE important?)to find a trustworthy and reliable Indie Mechanic/dealership to take care of the car. ALL cars can have problems, but it's how well the Indie Mechanics/dealerships take care of these that is all important. Consider an extended warranty. Try to find a car that has all the service records since new. Make sure the A/C works and was not very recently re-charged, as this could be a sign that the car has pending A/C problems. Check the transaxle fluid if its and automatic your looking at, making sure its not brown/black with a "burned" odor. Good hunting.
