I just installed the new clips on my wagon tail gate last weekend. Someone on the brickboard saw my post and sent me the actual Volvo Service Bulletin on how to fix this common problem. I will email the instructions to you. After I installed the repair kit, the rattling was less, but I could still hear some rattles. It turned out that the hitch that the lock connects to was too far out. Its a bit hard to explain, but I had to readjust the locks so that the tail gate closed tighter.
