The first model year of production was 1992 in Europe. I have a '94 and changes included a wider timing belt and consequently longer change intervals (70k mi vs. 50k mi) and the change to a five bolt pattern on the wheels, instead of the four bolt pattern. Aside from the headlight and bumper change on sunroof equipped '94's there may be some other items that were modified, such as the transmission, but I am not sure.
