I can't speak to the harness.

But the outside air temperature - yes that is up under the front spoiler. I haven't had an 850 for a few years, so I forget exactly. Seems like just left of center looking forward, front of the radiator. It is the only thing in that area.

My guess is you might find a dummy plug in the harness. If the sensor is open circuit, it either reads ---- or DISC.
