Unlike my trusty 965 (which had a user-accessible switch to select or de-select DRL) the newer models can only be de-selected using the dealers' scan tool.

At least that what my owner's manual says.

In fact, lots of the electronic features of Volvos are dealer-only modifiable (for a fee, that is).
