I had a similar problem, the back angle switch would only work in one direction. But the memory buttons would move the seat to its programmed setting ( the back angle moved in both directions). I was intending o troubleshoot soome more, such as spray some contact cleaner on the switches; but I never got around to it. This week I accidentally bumped the malfunctioning switch and it worked fine. But this doesn't really help you.
Enough with my storytelling. The good news it that since the memory buttons work, the control module is still getting power and can probably be fixed. The switches might actually fix themselves. If that doesn't work, or you run out of patience waiting for it to fix itself; try some contact cleaner or WD-40 type lubricant. Contact cleaner can be purchased at an electrical parts store, I got something similar for radio knobs at Radio Shack ( that should work).
