Tim-

try closing the sliding shade on your sunroof. If the rattle stops, it means the shade is rattling in its track. This is a problem on my car too. I am still trying to get it to happen for the dealer.

When I can duplicate the problem for my dealer, he said he can either adjust the movable shade or line the tracks with felt tape. Either fix has been known to work.
