Re: Built in japan? ALL

John,

I don't quite understand your point and why you replied to me...

I drive a Volvo, not a Toyota or a Honda and am perfectly happy.

(Coincidentally, I smoked a new Accord this morning, totally embarassed him - the guy thought he was going fast blowing by me, unsuspecting, at 80 mph. He even waived his hand bye-bye. Boy, did he get pissed when I caught up and passed him 10 seconds later! Couldn't let him get away with that :):):))

Also, Acura IS Honda, Infinity IS Nissan and Lexus IS Toyota everywhere outside the US. Almost all Acura, Infinity and Lexus models marketed in the US have their Honda, Nissan and Toyota counterparts abroad.

> ... Infiniti models before rushing to trash Japanese cars in general.

I have NEVER trashed Japanese cars in general, quite the opposite. Are you sure you read my post thoroughly? I know their value and have no illusions; nor do I have any prejudice against them in general.

It's no more a myth than that American cars are designed and built in the US. World economy is getting increasingly globalized, and automakers tend to forge alliances - this blures the boundaries.
