It's easy to install as it just bolts on the firewall side of the engine block, not into a cooling jacket like on older cars.

Unless your car sits outside near an electrical outlet, it usually won't help you. In a garage it's unnecessary and usually when at work when in a parking lot (typically when you're likely to have starting problems with extreme cold, like well below zero), there's no electricity.
