I would just swap the transmissions. The manual is due for a new clutch and RMS anyway. Manual trannies last forever, if you change the fluid occasionally. Swapping the engines is much more painful because of the electronics and getting the engine up in the air.
The 1994 should have a TCU that can be put into the 1995 which will help the performance, but is not really needed.
It is going to be a lot of work, but then your 1995 will be able to smoke the tires!!!
