I will check these items. Certainly seems plausible it would be one of the things you mentioned. Others have suggested it could be a fuel issue or low compression issue, which makes me sick to think about. The car does have 190k on it, but it runs fine, so I hope it is as simple as the IAC valve or throttle body. Excellent synopses as always Klaus. Thank you and the others for your input.
