The dealer needs the car and the other keys/remotes. It is like the 850 cars, the security system gets re-booted with the new and old remotes/keys. They cannot just "add" one key/remote to the system.

It should take less than 30 minutes. I can do an 850 in 5 minutes and my wife's Audi A4 in 10 minutes (allowing for a screw up or two). Blame Volvo for not allowing the security to be DIY.
