Thanks so much for responding Rich. As well as rapidly moving the shifter, as per your recommendation, I also blew heat into the area of the PNP switch and it did the trick. I am starting to think that while the PNP switch may be on its last legs that also the extremely cold air temperature may have had some effect on its operation. Has anyone else had PNP switch problems in cold temperatures?

Anyway, Rich, you saved me a trip to the Dealer and I am very grateful.
