Dude, my experience exactly. Noise appeared. I checked the oil, fine. Noise went away. Noise came back, got worse, towed the car. Mechanic said sound at bottom of engine could be rod bearing. Was actually bent rod and damage crankshaft. 98k flawless miles on my 95 850 GLT wagon. No leaks. No abuse. What's up?!!
