If this is the 1999, it will become a problem when it no longer turns off. Of course, by then it won't run anymore either.

There is probably a worn spot on the sensor strip, and as it get larger will get worse. The current fix is about $500, no software upgrades needed, and fixed for life. www.xemodex.com is a good outfit, just happens to be in Canada.
