Anyone hardwired a radar detector? V70-XC70 2000

I'd like to hardwire my "old" radar detector in my wife's 2000 V70. Their is a console that has the lights above the mirror that will be my source of power. I'm looking for advice on a switched (on/off with ignition) power supply lead (Is there one? What color is the wire? Where is it?). Any information will be helpful.
