Slightly more confident. After the power steering pump was swung up creating the gaping hole which revealed the alternator, yes I knew I was almost there.
Probably the biggest diff in the older vs newer cars is that you must remove fasteners more by feel now cause you often can't get a good look and fingers in the same place.
The problem is I've got 3 240's and have had a few more in the past. We only have one V-70 and every repair is a new experience down an unknown path.
Btw, the rebuild is $140. He said the pulley clutch was shot and needed to be replaced and that alone was $60. Note that the rebuild on the 240 alt is $80.
