After market chipped to get more power pro &con please explain. 850 1994Turbo

There chipped for sale on the market buy change the chipped some claim you will get more power without doing any other thing to the car..

these run about $200 some claim up 20 more horse power..

My question is will the increase shorten the motor life??

Lost speed at top end ?

Can we realy feel the different with the chipped...
