Nice dilema, a cheap car that doesn't run. It could be the relay, or, a number of other things. Can you hear the fuel pump charge when you turn the key to pos II, if not, it could be the relay or the pump itself.
If you can open the hood, check the OBD codes in A-2 and A-6 for obvious problems that the computer is aware of. Could be the cam position sensor.
It could also be the dreaded lawnmower syndrome, totally fouled spark plugs, a bad MAF, etc.
