The radiator cracked and the car is now parked.
I just bought this from a neighbor and already I have dumped $2600 down the drain. Now this.
I found out after buying it that the guy skipped maintenance for about 4 years. That should be nothing for a Volvo, right? Are these cars really this delicate??
I have made an awful mistake. I'm already at the point where I could have purchased a dealer certified used car about 3 or more years newer.
How could it be that this POS is falling apart so shortly after buying it???
How hard is the radiator replacement? It doesn't look too bad, but there's so much crap under the hood I'm wondering if it's harder than it looks. The way these new cars are built I half expect the thing to have a computer built in that quadruples the price.
I'm told by the mechanic that there is likely a heater core problem as well.
This is what happens when you buy a car when you have no time to even pause for a moment. You'd think the crook might have felt some sympathy for a neighbor who showed up to look at the car with his six year old son.
