Intermittent rough running 850 1995

Hi Klaus,

I got in there and found the PCT nipple fully plugged at the small port. The big (straight through) port was fine.

I also found one of the vacuum hoses pulled off, although I didn't notice it until I had the intake hose out, and could have pulled it off while I was working in there. Another seemed slightly loose in it's connection.

I measured the voltage drop between the engine and the battery, and found 0.6V between the cylinder head and the battery negative post while the engine was running. It was only 0.15V between the block and the firewall, so the connection from the engine to the body seems to be in reasonable shape. (I'll have to take a look at the battery negative connection soon.)

I cleaned the PCT, replaced both vacuum hoses, and worked really hard to make sure every vacuum connection was tight, and I would guardedly say that it seems to be better so far. (Of course, every time I think this, it comes back...) Time will tell.

Thanks for your helpful suggestions!

Roger
