I had this happen to me once where I worked. I believe I used paint thinner (that's mineral spirits, NOT acrylic reducer), then soap and water to remove the oily thinner residue, then wax it.

Or you might try some of that stuff that removes road tar, etc., which I believe is nothing more than kerosene.

Every day that passes makes the job tougher.
